Position Title:Clinical Nurse Educator - 6B

The Clinical Nurse Educator - 6B leads learning and development opportunities for nurses within 6B as it expands its services and staff adjust to working as a cohesive and supportive team.
The unit is a surgical unit catering primarily to elective and emergency surgeries in the fields of urology, general surgery, orthopaedics, and plastic surgery.
The model of care will primarily see patients admitted for no greater than 48 hours.
In order to maintain high levels of occupancy the unit will actively pull patients from both the Emergency Department and Theatre/Recovery.
The successful applicant will provide clinical support and education to undergraduate nursing students, graduate nurses and new and less experienced staff in 6B.
The position will require some flexibility in regard to shift work to be able to flex to the needs of staff on the unit.
At the conclusion of the fixed term appointment there may be an opportuinity for the successful applicant to apply for an ongoing appointment as a Clinical Nurse Educator within 6B at a reduced EFT.
