Carrington's Traffic Services is seeking an experiencedTraffic Management Plannerto join our growing team in Midvale.
This role is responsible for coordinating traffic management planning requirements for roadworks, construction, maintenance works, utility works, events, and other works that impact the road network.
You will work closely with clients, operations, designers, local governments, Main Roads WA, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure works are planned, documented, approved, and delivered safely and efficiently.
About the Role
This is an office-based Traffic Management Planner role located at our Midvale depot, supporting the planning and coordination of traffic management requirements across roadworks, construction, maintenance, utility works, events, and other works that may impact the road network.
You will be responsible for coordinating TMPs, TGSs, permits, approvals, site information, job records, stakeholder requirements, and operational planning to support safe, compliant, and efficient work delivery.
Working closely with clients, operations teams, designers, local governments, Main Roads WA, contractors, and other stakeholders, you will help ensure works are properly planned, documented, approved, communicated, and ready for delivery.
While the role is primarily office-based, site inspections or site information gathering may be required to support accurate planning and operational readiness.
Key Duties
Your duties will include:
Preparing and coordinating traffic management documentation, including TMPs, TGSs, permits, approvals, site information, and job records.
Liaising with clients, road authorities, local governments, contractors, and internal teams.
Tracking approvals, permits, notifications, and planning requirements.
Supporting operations with job readiness, crew requirements, equipment requirements, and site information.
Reviewing work scopes, site constraints, staging requirements, access requirements, and approval conditions.
Maintaining accurate records, registers, correspondence, and document control.
Supporting safe, compliant, practical, and efficient traffic management outcomes.
About You
The successful applicant will have:
Current Australian driver's licence.
Right to work in Australia.
Construction Induction Card / White Card.
Current Main Roads WA AWTM qualification.
Experience or solid understanding of traffic management, civil construction, utilities, road maintenance, local government, project coordination, or similar work.
Robust computer skills,
including Outlook, Word, Excel, PDF tools, and general administration systems.
Positive written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
A practical, organised, safety-focused, and professional approach.
Must havea positive "can do" attitude, and willingness to work in a fast-paced setting alongside a dynamic, family-orientated operations team to be based in our Midvale Depot.
Experience with Invarion RapidPlan, Nearmap, MetroMap, CAD, Main Roads WA submissions, LGA permits, or traffic management approvals will be highly regarded.
