FGJ L'EVEILLE JOINERY PTY LTD is seeking two experiencedQualified Cabinet Maker Tradesmento join our dynamic team based in Pakenham, Victoria.
This is afull-time positionoffering the opportunity to work on a variety of carpentry and cabinet making projects, from bespoke custom designs to commercial installations.
You will be working with quality materials and modern techniques, playing a crucial role in delivering exceptional finished products that meet our clients' exacting standards.
This role is ideal for skilled tradespeople who take pride in their craftsmanship and are keen to contribute to a growing joinery business.
Key responsibilities
Fabricate and construct custom cabinets and joinery pieces according to design specifications and client requirements
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to plan and execute projects accurately
Operate and maintain a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and effectively
Select and prepare appropriate timbers and materials for each project
Perform precise cutting, shaping, joining and finishing work to ensure high-quality outcomes
Assemble cabinet components and undertake on-site installation where required
Conduct quality checks throughout the fabrication process to maintain standards
Maintain a clean and organised workshop, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained
Collaborate with colleagues and management to meet project deadlines
Comply with all health and safety regulations and workplace practices
What we're looking for
Current relevant carpentry and cabinet making qualifications or trade certification
Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in cabinet making or bespoke joinery work
Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
Competence with both traditional hand tools and modern woodworking machinery
Knowledge of different timber species, materials and finishing techniques
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to precision and quality craftsmanship
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to varying project requirements
Valid driver's licence for potential on-site work
Commitment to health and safety practices in the workplace
Preferred: Experience with custom or bespoke cabinetry projects and knowledge of CAD design software
