About the role
Dominant is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Adelaide manufacturing site.
You'll be hands-on in both preventive and corrective maintenance, working in a team that actively cross-trains across disciplines.
This is a good fit if you're comfortable with hand tools, mechanical fault-finding and general service and maintenance work and you want to build your skills in a growing business that's open to recent ideas on the floor.
Your main responsibilities
Reactive maintenance: attending to repairs and breakdowns of production machinery
Preventative maintenance tasks to proactively reduce unplanned downtime
Assisting in developing and introducing maintenance programs to support company needs
Maintaining a high level of safety and quality practices across all maintenance activities
Identifying potential hazards to staff, machinery and buildings and escalating where appropriate
Plant equipment set-up and troubleshooting
What we're looking for
Willingness to learn and grow with the business
Availability to work the afternoon shift is a must
Experience installing, repairing and maintaining manufacturing equipment
Experience fault-finding pneumatic and mechanical systems
Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
An eye for identifying and recommending improvements to maintenance practices and process performance
CMMS experience is a plus
Understanding of safety systems and processes, including risk assessments, incident reporting and planned inspections
Advantageous licences, certificates, and experience
Electrical, mechanical or trade certificates
Forklift licence
EWP
Confined spaces
Welding
Manufacturing experience
Tablet press familiarity
Machining experience
