SEN & SEMH Teaching Assistants
County Durham | Full time, Part-Time & Flexible Supply Opportunities | September **** Start
Pay - £93-£105 p/day (PAYE)
Veritas Education is continuing to grow across the North East and, due to increased demand from our partner schools, we are looking to recruit SEN and SEMH Teaching Assistants to support a range of mainstream, specialist SEN and alternative provision settings across County Durham.
We have opportunities available in Durham, Newton Aycliffe, Spennymoor, Bishop Auckland, Stanley, Consett, Chester-le-Street, Peterlee and surrounding areas.
Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant, a Psychology or Criminology graduate, a Youth Worker, Support Worker, or someone with experience supporting children and young people with additional needs, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
You may support pupils with:
Autism (ASD)
ADHD
SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs)
Speech, Language & Communication needs
Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties
Challenging behaviour
Sensory and complex needs

Requirements
Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults is desirable
A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
