Fire Services Engineer – Building Services

The Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-orientedFire Services Engineerto join their growing team inAdelaide.
You'll be responsible for designing, documenting, and delivering fire protection systems across a diverse range of projects—spanning commercial, residential, healthcare, and industrial sectors.
The Responsibilities
Design and documentation of fire services systems: sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, fire detection and alarm systems.
Coordinate with architects, clients, and other engineering disciplines.
Ensure designs meet Australian Standards (AS ****, AS ****, AS ****), NCC, and local authority requirements.
Prepare technical reports, calculations, and tender documentation.
Support project delivery through construction phase including site inspections and commissioning assistance.
The Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related.
3+ years' experience in fire services design within the building services sector.




Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit; knowledge of hydraulic modelling software desirable.
Strong understanding of relevant codes and fire safety regulations.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Chartered status or working towards CPEng/RPEQ (advantageous but not essential).
