About the role
We are seeking bothSenior HairstylistsandJunior Hairstyliststo join our talented team on afull-time and part-time basisat our Maitland location.
As a hairstylist at Hair Colosseum, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality hair services to our valued clientele.
Senior stylists will also be expected to mentor junior team members and contribute to maintaining our salon's reputation for excellence.

Key responsibilities
Providing professional hair cutting, styling, colouring and treatment services to clients
Consulting with clients to understand their hair care needs and desired outcomes
Maintaining high standards of salon hygiene and cleanliness
Building and maintaining positive client relationships to encourage repeat business
Keeping up to date with current hair trends and styling techniques
Operating salon equipment safely and effectively
Processing payments and handling client transactions professionally
For Senior Stylists: mentoring and training junior hairstylists on techniques and salon procedures
For Senior Stylists: contributing to team leadership and maintaining salon standards
What we're looking for
For Senior Hairstylists:
minimum 3-5 years of professional hairstyling experience in a salon environment
For Junior Hairstylists: recent graduate from a recognised hairdressing course or currently studying towards a hairdressing qualification
Strong technical skills in cutting, colouring, styling and hair treatments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
A passion for hair care and commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Reliability, punctuality and a professional attitude
For Senior Stylists: proven ability to mentor and support junior team members
For Senior Stylists: knowledge of salon management practices and client retention strategies
Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one is advantageous
