What We Are Offering
You canchoose your own hours.
You canwork from home, anywhere in NSW (and probably interstate depending on your local prescribing laws), althoughpreference will be given to applicants who can provide face-to-face consultationsfrom our clinic in Thirroul, NSW.
These face-to-face consultations can be very satisfying for the clinician and also help support patients with access needs, such as ASD or older patients with difficulties using technology.
Further to this, our patients are often referred by local GPs, Psychiatrists and Allied Health clinicians who value that we are embedded in the local healthcare community.
You willhave your own patients, with follow-up consultations gradually building as your patient load grows.
This structure creates continuity of care, while your workload and earnings will increase naturally over time.

About the Role
Conduct comprehensiverisk assessmentsto identify contraindications and care considerations in relation to medicinal cannabis.
Buildtherapeutic allianceand providenon-judgementalcare.
Providemotivational interviewingto foster patient commitment toharm minimisationstrategies, tailored to the patient's individual circumstances.
Thoroughlyeducate patientsabout treatment options, to support genuine shared decision-making and patientautonomy.
Communicate with GPsto facilitate continuity of care and maintain patient safety.
Provideholistic care, including highlighting other avenues that the patient could consider, independently or with their GP or other healthcare providers as indicated.
About You
Essential:
You holdGeneral Registration with AHPRA (PGY2+)
You are willing to do theonboardingprocess (eg, Police Check, Medical Indemnity Insurance, etc).
You'reinterested in people's stories.
You are asafepractitioner.
You arenon-judgementaland valueharm-minimisation.
Preferred:
You are willing to doface-to-face consults in Thirroul.
Your are hoping towork with us for >12 months.
You have someexperience in prescribing medicinal cannabis and using Halaxysoftware.
If not, full training and ongoing support can be provided.
