The Opportunity
This is far more than a traditional engineering role.You'll provide technical leadership as Hunter Water transitions from legacy data environments to a modern cloud platform.
Working across Azure, Snowflake, Databricks and Azure Data Factory, you'll establish engineering standards, mentor the team and build a secure, scalable platform that supports analytics, operational decision-making and future AI capability.You'll influence architecture, shape engineering practices and leave a lasting impact on a major transformation program.
About You
You'll be a hands-on technical leader with experience designing and supporting modern cloud data platforms.
You enjoy solving complex problems, mentoring others and introducing engineering best practices that improve consistency, quality and delivery.You'll bring experience across areas such as:




Azure cloud data platformsSnowflake and Databricks including DBT transformations and deploymentAzure Data Factory, Azure Machine Learning and data ingestion pipelinesPython and SQLCI/CD, Azure DevOps and automationData governance, security and platform engineeringCoaching and developing engineering capability
You'll also enjoy collaborating with others and helping build a modern engineering culture where continuous improvement is the norm.
