The Program Lead – Sustainability plays a critical role in shaping and delivering NGM Group's sustainability priorities, ensuring our commitments are translated into clear, well‐governed and practical outcomes for the organisation and the communities we serve.
Reporting to the Head of Community & Sustainability, this people leadership role provides enterprise‐wide oversight of our sustainability roadmap, regulatory climate disclosure readiness, reconciliation commitments and broader ESG initiatives.
You'll lead the coordination and integration of complex workstreams across the organisation, strengthening governance, supporting executive and board decision‐making, and ensuring we are well positioned to meet current obligations and emerging regulatory requirements, while embedding sustainability considerations into everyday decision‐making across NGM Group.
What will your key responsibilities include?
Own and manage the organisation's sustainability roadmap, ensuring initiatives are clearly prioritised, sequenced and aligned to business strategy, regulatory obligations and organisational capacity.Provide enterprise oversight of readiness for climate‐related regulatory disclosure, ensuring processes, governance and accountabilities support accurate, timely and compliant reporting.Monitor emerging sustainability, climate and ESG regulatory developments, assessing implications for the organisation and proactively identifying actions required to maintain readiness and compliance.Ensure sustainability initiatives are supported by appropriate governance structures, controls and decision‐making forums, enabling clear accountability and effective executive and board oversight.Manage interdependencies across climate, community impact and reconciliation initiatives to ensure alignment, minimise duplication and support efficient delivery across the sustainability portfolio.Act as the central escalation point for material program‐related risks, issues or delivery constraints,



ensuring these are clearly articulated and addressed at the appropriate level.Oversee the integration and consistency of sustainability‐related information across formal reports and disclosures, ensuring clarity, credibility and alignment of narrative and data.Provide informed, practical advice to senior leaders on sustainability priorities, trade‐offs and resourcing pressures to support sound decision‐making.Provide leadership, direction and support to the sustainability team, fostering a cohesive, high‐performing function with clear roles, expectations and accountability.Build productive relationships across the organisation to embed sustainability considerations into decision‐making and promote shared ownership of sustainability outcomes.
What are we looking for?
Proven experience leading complex, enterprise‐level programs or roadmaps with multiple workstreams and dependencies in a regulated or risk‐aware workplace.Strong capability in stakeholder engagement, including preparing high‐quality materials for executive, steering group and working‐group forums.Sound strategic judgement, with the ability to prioritise, manage trade‐offs and navigate evolving regulatory and organisational requirements.Demonstrated people leadership skills, providing clear direction, setting expectations and driving accountability.Clear, practical communicator who can translate complex issues into actionable guidance for the business.Experience in sustainability, climate, ESG or regulatory reporting is desirable but not essential; relevant tertiary qualifications are also desirable.Background in project or program management, risk, legal, finance, strategy, or a similar function, with strong enterprise and governance exposure.
