This on-site role, based in Newcastle, NSW, involves managing schedules, supervising staff, coordinating resources, and maintaining compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
The Operations Manager will monitor performance metrics, resolve operational issues, and implement process improvements to enhance service quality.
The position also includes collaborating with leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, and reporting, as well as building strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
This role requires hands-on involvement in day-to-day operations and proactive leadership to support team performance and client outcomes.Qualifications Demonstrated experience in operations management, preferably within support services, healthcare, community, or social services environments.Strong skills in team leadership, staff supervision, and performance management, with the ability to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.Proficiency in planning, organizing, and coordinating resources, including scheduling, budgeting, and workflow optimization.Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and high standards of service delivery.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution, stakeholder engagement, and report writing.Competence in using office software and operational systems for documentation, reporting, and data management.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and risk management.Relevant tertiary qualification in business, management, health, community services, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice, client-centered service, and culturally safe, non-discriminatory work practices.
