Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and hands on Field Officer, to join our corporate farming team based in Broadwater.
Working closely with the Fields Supervisor and Agricultural Team, you will support all aspects of sugar cane production, including machinery operation, crop production activities, farm maintenance and record keeping.
This role requires a self motivated individual who can work independently while contributing to a productive and safe team environment.
Key responsibilities:
Operate and maintain farm machinery, including tractors, harvesters and trucks
Carry out crop production activities such as land preparation, spraying, fertilising, harvesting support and general farm maintenance.
Maintain accurate operational records and report safety, maintenance and productivity issues
Assist with machinery servicing, repairs and equipment upkeep
Work safely and comply with relevant workplace health, safety and environmental requirements
Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders as required
We are looking for:
Experience in farming, ideally sugar cane or a similar agricultural environment
Practical machinery operation and maintenance skills
Strong problem solving, communication and time management skills




Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to protected work practices
Current driver's licence (essential) and relevant machinery licences (desirable)
Flexibility to work additional hours during peak farming and crushing periods
