Skippy Skips is a locally owned skip bin company, proudly servicing Townsville and surrounding areas.
We're looking for a reliableSkip Truck Driverto join our team on a casualbasis, covering regular shifts and holiday relief.
The Role
Drive skip bin trucks safely and efficiently across the Townsville region
Deliver, collect, & dispose of bin contents from job site to waste disposal areas.
Assist with general yard duties when required.
What You'll Do
Safely operating a skip truck to transport and deliver skip bins to and from customer sites
Providing exceptional customer service by promptly and professionally responding to customer inquiries and requests
Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition
Adhering to all relevant road rules, safety regulations and company policies
Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, pickups and any incidents
Assisting with general yard & maintenance duties as needed
Hours range from16 to 30 per week,depending on workload.
Shifts are generallyMonday to Friday,
with some overtime during peak periods in emergencies (penalty rates apply).
Full training and induction provided.
About You
Licence:Current HR or MR licence (required).
Experience:Previous skip truck or waste industry experience preferred.
Any experience in skip truck or waste industry operations is helpful and valued.
Local knowledge:Must live in Townsville with good area awareness.

Physically fit and safety-focused.
Clean driving records with no major offences in the last 5 years
Major offences are defined as DUI or drink driving convictions.
Work Rights:Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
