About the Role
Chevron Glass Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations at our facility in Royal Park, South Australia.
As a fulltime role, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective production of our high-quality glass products to meet customer demand.
What You'll Be Doing
Manage the day-to-day operations of the production department, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating all manufacturing activities for 50 to 70 people over 2 shifts.
Monitor production processes and output to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure targets are met
Collaborate with the sales, procurement, and quality assurance teams to align production with business objectives
Foster a safe and productive work environment by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures
Review and / or prepare maintenance schedules for plant and equipment with the General Manager to minimise downtime.
Provide leadership and guidance to the production team, including training, performance management, and professional development
Prepare production reports and analyse data to support informed decision-making
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a production management role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
Experience in the glass processing industry will be highly regarded.
Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, and quality control principles
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills
Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety
