Six Degrees is partnering with a large QLD Government department in the recruitment of a long-term AO5 Project Engagement Advisor supporting primarily road infrastructure.In the role of Project Engagement Advisor you will provide strategic communications services to technical and professional staff for community engagement, issues management, and stakeholder management.
Some of your responsibilities
Coordinate community engagement activities for major projects including providing project manager with ongoing strategic advice and developing and implementing communications strategies
Develop strategies for stakeholder management and consult with a wide range of interest groups
Landholder engagement
Community and stakeholder liaison
Issues Management
Act as a single contact point for project teams
Requirements of the role
Experience and knowledge
Experience in ministerial and executive correspondence management to develop and tailor material with customer-focuses outcomes in an environment dealing with infrastructure
High level understanding of media, government, and regional operations to manage and develop medial responses to enhance the department's reputation
Skills and abilities
Ability to effectively apply knowledge of issues and reputation management and provide well considered advice to establish and maintain mutual understanding between the department and its customers
Support others by providing timely information within own area of expertise in an articulate and non-technical manner.
Listens attentively and proactively seeks to understand others needs by asking questions and clarifying
