About the work unit / facility:
Joyce Palmer Health Service(JPHS) consists of an Emergency Department, 15 bed inpatient unit, renal dialysis services and home care services.
Primary health care services are provided by the Palm Island Community Company (PICC).
Townsville HHS does provide oral health, community mental health, midwifery services (antenatal and post-natal services) and specialist outreach services.
Joyce Palmer Health Service promotes and supports an integrated service provision across all aspects of care, aiming to achieve appropriate and timely access to care for all residents of Palm Island.
The purpose of this position is to provide high quality, evidence-based nursing care to the people of Palm Island.
This will include working in all areas of emergency and inpatient services.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
Salary range: $87,368 to $112,064 p.a. (NG5)
4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
*****% employer contribution to superannuation
Accommodation- Single in office staff accommodation will be provided.
Rural and Remote Incentive Package (RANIP):Successful applicants may be eligible for RANIP.

Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration (AHPRA).
Mandatory - Adult Life Support certificate:Must obtain and maintain an annual competency in Advanced Life Support as per THHSCLI****** Life Support Training and Assessment
Travel is a requirement of this role.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
Probation period may apply.
