Position Summary
The Support Worker will provide assistance to clients in accordance with their individual NDIS plans, promoting independence, safety, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Provide support to clients in line with their NDIS goals and support plansAssist with daily living activities, including eating, dressing, bathing, and groomingProvide transportation support to appointments and community activitiesDeliver respite care to clients and their families when requiredMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care plans and progress notesCommunicate effectively with clients, families, and other members of the care teamAdhere to all health and safety policies and procedures to ensure client well-beingParticipate in ongoing professional development to remain current with NDIS best practices
Requirements
Minimum of a high school certificate or equivalentCertificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability, Aged Care, or related field),



or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded)Lived experience and/or paid experience supporting people with disabilityHas a reliable car with comprehensive car insuranceAvailability to work across day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekendsPrevious experience handling mental health and behaviours, or wilingness to work with onStrong understanding of the NDIS and its Practice StandardsSound knowledge of health and safety regulations and duty of care obligationsAbility to work with a diverse client base, demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity to varying abilities, backgrounds, and communication needsBasic care skills, including first aid (or willingness to obtain)Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic digital systems
