About the role IntenseCare is growing its support team and is seeking a group of male Disability Support Workers to support participants living with dementia.
This role is suited to people who are calm, patient and genuinely committed to providing respectful, person-centred care.
You will support participants with their daily routines while helping them maintain their dignity, independence and quality of life.Due to participant preferences and personal support requirements, male support workers are required for these positions.
Key responsibilities
• Provide respectful,
person-centred support• Assist participants with daily activities and routines• Support community access and social participation• Respond calmly to changes in behaviour or communication• Follow individual care plans and safety procedures• Maintain explicit and accurate support notes• Communicate professionally with families and the wider care team
About you
We are looking for people who are:• Compassionate, patient and reliable• Confident supporting people living with dementia• Respectful of participant choice, dignity and privacy• Strong communicators who can build trust• Able to work independently and as part of a care teamPrevious experience in dementia, disability or aged-care support is highly valued.
