The Team Leader Youth & Families supervises, supports and leads a vast team of staff.
MASP is a not-for-profit organisation located in Mildura, Victoria and is seeking to fill a full-time ongoing position.
The Team Leader Youth & Families supervises, supports and leads a vast team of staff.
The position supports the case managers within the eight individual program areas as well as a small team of casual staff in the Youth Justice space.
Expected commencing salary of$118,******per annum plus statutory superannuation.

This role can involve emotionally demanding situations and exposure to psychological hazards, including client distress, trauma disclosures, and urgent responses.
MASP prioritises staff wellbeing by providing supervision, debriefing, reflective practice, safety measures, and access to wellbeing resources.
We encourage open communication—raise any concerns with your supervisor, management, or the OHS Committee as soon as possible.
Essential role-specific skills, knowledge and experience
Relevant qualifications in Social Work, Youth Work, Psychology, Social Science or other relevant tertiary studies.
Experience in identifying risks, creating and implementing a risk assessment and managing risks to ensure the safety and well-being of both clients and staff.
Demonstrated understanding of the Best Interests Framework, Child, Youth and Family Act **** and other related legislation.
Knowledge of the issues affecting children, youth and families, the influences and effects of the social environment and advocating with and on behalf of those who are disadvantaged.
Knowledge of the local service sector and experience in working collaboratively with other organisations in formal and informal partnerships to achieve client outcomes.




Demonstrated ability to make informed, strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment as well as proven problem-solving skills, with a track record of identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
Highly desirable role-specific skills, knowledge and experience
Experience in a not for profit / charitable organisation.
Demonstrated team management experience, including practice supervision, recruitment and managing individual key performance indicators.
