We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and compassionateTherapy Assistantto join our Residential Aged Care team on a permanent part-time Relief basis.
This relief position offers the security of permanent part time employment while providing flexibility to work a range of rostered shifts to support operational requirements.
While primarily based atVivian Bullwinkel Lodge, the successful candidate will be expected to maintain flexibility and may be required to work shifts atKarri & Tuart Lodgeas required.
Working closely with the Lifestyle and Allied Health teams, you will assist with the development and delivery of engaging individual and group programs designed to support residents' physical, emotional and social wellbeing.

About the role:
As a Therapy Assistant, you will:
Assist in the delivery of individual and group therapy programs.
Support the assessment of residents' needs, interests and abilities.
Encourage participation in activities that promote independence, mobility and wellbeing.
Work collaboratively with Lifestyle, Allied Health and Clinical teams.
Monitor and report changes in residents' wellbeing and functional abilities.
Assist with documentation and reporting related to therapy programs.
Support and guide volunteers assisting with activities and programs.
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of resident-focused services.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance.
Previous experience of minimum 6 - 12 months working in Residential Aged Care, rehabilitation or a similar environment.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
A positive, proactive and enthusiastic attitude.
Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathy and understanding of the needs of older people.




Sound problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
The ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers and colleagues.
