About the role
An exciting prospect has become available for a full-time Dental Assistant to join the team at Southern Smiles Dental in our Leongatha Clinic (experience not essential but preferred).
As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dedicated dentists and providing exceptional patient care.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a friendly and collaborative environment.
What you'll be doing
Assisting dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments, materials and equipment
Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment
Providing excellent patient care and customer service
Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
Ensuring the dental practice is clean, organised and well-stocked
Undertaking administrative tasks as required
What we're looking for




Previous experience as a Dental Assistant (not essential) or in a similar healthcare role
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, dentists and the wider team
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sterilisation
Proficient in using dental equipment and technologies
A caring, empathetic and patient-focused approach
Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
