We're looking for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Nurse to join our team.
This opportunity has arisen due to a combination of internal career progression and parental leave, and we're looking for someone who enjoys being actively involved in patient care and wants to work in a genuinely hands-on clinical nursing role.
This is not a role where you'll spend your day primarily cleaning kennels or performing animal attendant duties.
Our nurses are an integral part of the clinical team and are encouraged to work to the full extent of their skills.
You'll be involved in a broad range of nursing duties including anaesthesia monitoring, inpatient care, catheter placement, scale and polish procedures, nurse consultations and assisting with a diverse caseload ranging from routine surgeries through to complex surgical and medical cases.
No two days are the same.
We are also highly supportive of work/life balance and understand that flexibility is important.
Part-time and casual arrangements will be considered for the right candidate, however shifts are generally rostered across weekdays (8.00 am to 6.30 pm), evening shifts (4.00 pm to midnight), weekends and public holidays.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
A minimum of 12 months' clinical experience as a qualified veterinary nurse
A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
Demonstrated competence in surgical nursing, anaesthesia monitoring, inpatient care and emergency triage
Excellent animal handling skills
A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
The ability to remain calm under pressure whilst working efficiently and proactively
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and adapt in a busy environment
A mature, reliable and qualified approach to your work
Outstanding customer service and communication skills
Genuine compassion for both people and animals
At this stage we are seeking experienced veterinary nurses only.
Applicants who have recently completed their Certificate IV but have not yet gained hands-on clinical experience in the areas listed above will not be considered at this time.
