St Brigid's Primary School in Officer is seeking a Learning Support Officer to join our team.
The position commences as soon as possible.
This is an Ongoing, Education Support Employee, Category B Level 2 position under the Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited Schools and Secretariat Agreement ****.
Applications are invited from suitably experienced persons for the Fixed-Term Replacement 0.79 FTE position of Education Support Officer to commence in July ****.

The successful applicant will be available to work 5 days per week.
8:45am - 3:15pm daily.
This is a fixed-term replacement position commencing Monday 13 July **** (or as soon as possible thereafter) and finishing Sunday 4 October ****.
Part time staff able to apply.
Staff employed at St Brigid's must demonstrate an ongoing commitment to adhering to all Child Safety Policies and Procedures, maintaining a child safe school environment.
This includes but is not limited to reading and signing a St Brigid's Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct prior to commencement.
All positions are classified under the Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited Schools and Secretariat Agreement ****.

The successful candidate will be appropriately qualified, demonstrate enthusiasm and ability to deliver the appropriate curriculum to a range of educational abilities,
and be able to provide care and support for students whilst supporting and respecting the ethos of the school and its environment.
Position Description
Child Safety
Be familiar with and comply with the school's child-safe policy and code of conduct, and any other policies or procedures relating to child safety
Assist in the provision of a child-safe environment for students
Demonstrate duty of care to students in relation to their physical and mental wellbeing
Career development
Commit to ongoing professional development in your area of work
Be open to researching areas of interest relevant to directions provided in the school's strategic plan
Continue development of ICT skills as technologies evolve
Be an active member of a relevant professional association as duties permit
General Duties
Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment for yourself and others and comply with all safe work policies and procedures
Attend school meetings and after school services/assemblies, sporting events, mass, community and faith days as required by the Principal
Demonstrate professional and collegiate relationships with colleagues
Other duties as directed by the Principal

Must hold or be willing to acquire a Working with Children Check card and must be willing to undergo a National Police Record Check
Education and Experience
Certificate III or higher in Education Support is preferred
Desired: Relevant post-graduate studies (or working towards such qualifications)

Good oral and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with children, parents and the school community
Demonstrated capacity to participate in a range of school activities, e.g. school sports, sacramental programs, liturgies, school camps/excursions
