The Anglican Diocese of Grafton is seeking an experienced and visionaryChief Information and Digital Officer (CIDO)to lead the Diocese's technology, information management, cyber security, and digital transformation agenda.
This is a unique executive opportunity to shape the future of a respected regional organisation serving communities across Northern New South Wales.
Reporting directly to theRegistrar/General Manager, you will provide strategic leadership across information technology, digital systems, cyber security, records digitisation, data governance, and technology-enabled business improvement.
You will work closely with the Bishop, senior leaders, diocesan agencies, and external technology partners to ensure the Diocese's technology environment remains secure, effective, and aligned with organisational priorities.
About the Role
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing the Diocese's ICT Strategy and technology roadmap.
Leading digital transformation initiatives, including digitisation of records, archives, and business processes.
Strengthening cyber security, data governance, and information management frameworks.
Managing relationships with technology vendors, managed service providers, and consultants.
Advising senior leadership on emerging technologies, digital opportunities, and ICT risks.
Supporting technology-enabled improvements across diocesan operations and ministry support functions.
About You
You will be a strategic and practical technology leader with:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Information Systems, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Business Technology, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience leading ICT strategy, digital transformation,



and organisational improvement initiatives.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, cloud technologies, cyber security, information governance, and business systems.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical matters for non-technical audiences.
Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
A commitment to integrity, collaboration, and service excellence.
Experience within not-for-profit, education, church, charitable, or community sectors will be highly regarded, as will relevant professional certifications and experience in records digitisation or archive modernisation projects.

Employment Details
Position:Full time (1.0 FTE)
Location:Grafton, NSW
Salary:Negotiable and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
($90,000 to $120,000 plus Super)
Successful applicants will be required to satisfy the Diocese's screening requirements, including a National Police Check and other relevant clearances.
Some travel within the Diocese may be required.
