We're seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at Duncraig Smiles.
This is a genuinedual-role positionrequiring the successful applicant to work across bothDental Assisting and Reception duties.
It is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day and is confident working in both clinical and administrative roles.
Applicants seeking a Reception-only position should not apply.
This part time role offers a consistent weekly schedule within a calm and well-organised practice environment.
Working Hours
Thursday
8:00am – 5:00pm
Dental Assisting
Friday
8:00am – 5:00pm
Dental Assisting until 1:00pm
Reception duties and stock management from 1:00pm
Every Second Saturday
9:00am – 1:00pm
Reception duties
No Saturday shifts on long weekends.
About the Role
Chair-side assisting in a general dental practice
Surgery preparation and changeover
Instrument processing and sterilisation
Maintaining high standards of infection control
Reception duties including patient coordination and administrative support
Stock control and inventory management
Use of Dental4Windows or similar dental software
About You
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Dental Assistant
Relevant Dental Assistant qualification
Experience with Dental4Windows or similar software (preferred)




Strong knowledge of infection control standards
Confident, organised, and able to work efficiently
Comfortable working across both clinical and reception duties
Reliable team player with excellent communication skills
Full working rights in Australia

This isnot an entry-level positionand isnot solely a reception role or solely a Dental Assistant role.
Applicants must have a minimum of2 years' Dental Assisting experienceand be comfortable working across both Dental Assisting and Reception duties.
Due to the nature of the role, we are unable to provide training for candidates without prior Dental Assisting experience.
