Workforce Internationalare currently seeking a reliable and safety-consciousForklift Operatorto join our clients fast-paced transport/distribution warehouse team, located in Kewdale.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operator looking to grow their skills in a dynamic workplace whilst working casual part-time hours.
Hours:3/4 shifts per week - 12pm to 8pm (Tuesday, Thursday & Friday)
May be required for a 12am - 8am shift on Mondays --- Opportunities to progress onto a 5 day roster
Responsibilities:
Safely load and unload linehaul trailers using a forklift
Operate forklifts fitted with extended/long forks to move oversized or lengthy freight
Load freight onto conveyor systems while following correct handling procedures
Assist with the manual loading and unloading of trucks and containers where required
Move, stage and organise freight within warehouse and loading areas
Wrap, label and prepare pallets for dispatch
Ensure freight is loaded securely and accurately to minimise damage during transit




Conduct pre-start equipment inspections and operate forklifts in accordance with site safety procedures.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment
Work with the warehouse and transport team to meet daily freight schedules
Requirements:
Valid forklift ticket with 6–12 months minimum experience operating in a high-risk environment
Proven experience operating forklifts with extended (long) forks
Solid understanding of load restraint, pedestrian safety, and operating in exclusion zones
Previous experience within the freight, transport and/or logistics industry
Demonstrated experience loading and unloading linehaul trailers
Ability to safely handle a variety of freight types, sizes and weights
Willingness and ability to perform manual handling duties, with the role consisting of approximately 30% manual handling and 70% forklift operation
