About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator with 2-3 years of relevant experience in structural steel and light steel framing.
This role is suited to someone who can independently prepare estimates while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate cost estimates for light gauge steel framing, structural steel fabrication and installation projectsReview and interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documentsPerform detailed quantity take-offs using take-off softwareObtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotationsAssist in preparing and submitting tenders within required timeframesIdentify cost efficiencies and support value engineering initiativesLiaise with internal teams, clients,



and suppliers during the tender processMaintain estimating records and documentationProvide quote opportunities update at sales meeting
Skills & Experience
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in estimating within structural steel, fabrication, or light steel framingGood understanding of fabrication and on-site installation processesSolid knowledge of the construction industryAbility to read and interpret technical and shop drawingsExperience with take-off software (highly regarded)Experience with CAD software (highly recommended)Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating toolsStrong attention to detail and numerical accuracyGood communication and time management skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
