About the Role
The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for the productive, accurate and timely processing of all payments to School suppliers and service providers and undertaking general accounting duties to support the finance function of the School.
This is an 12 month contract to start as soon as possible.
The role is part time role (30 hours per week) and is required during term time and school holidays.
Responsibilities in relation to the position include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities
Data entry of invoices.
Ensure all invoices are approved within specific delegations.
Maintenance of creditor information in Synergetic.
Process credit invoices in accordance with the School's finance procedures.
Maintain accurate purchase order records and files.
Payment of all creditors (via EFT and other methods) in accordance with the school payment policy procedures.
Reconcile creditor statements on a regular basis.
Assist with the month-end reconciliation process.
Liaise with suppliers as required.
General filing and record keeping.
Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data.
Other administration duties, which may arise as determined by the Accountant or Business Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
Previous experience with a high volume of invoices in a similar Accounts Payable role.
Current Working with Children Check.
Current National Police Clearance.
Competent in use of Microsoft Office products.
Knowledge of Synergetic an advantage.
Experience working in a school would be an advantage.
