About The Opportunity:
We are looking for aAssistant Head Sommeliersto join our opening team at Wishbone.
Deliver exceptional wine experience, you will have an unwavering passion and appreciation of wine.
This is a hands‐on role with focus on service delivery, upkeep, and maintenance of the wine cellar.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new venue and help shape the guest experience from day one.
The Ideal Candidate:
Demonstrated experience as an Assistant Head Sommelier
Extensive knowledge of wine, new and old world
Passion for the wine industry
Strong understanding of management practices




Demonstrated experience in leading high-performing teams and exceeding targets
Exceptional service skills and guest focused
Experience with stock control and inventory management is advantageous
Must be up-to-date with industry trends
Highly adaptable and able to perform in high-pressure service periods
Proven ability in building effective relationships
Organisational and time management skills
Exceptional communication and presentation
Full time availability including weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
WSET certification or similar is highly regarded
Victorian RSA certificate
