About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Formwork Carpenter Lead to join our precast concrete team in Perth.
This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified and highly experienced carpenter who understands formwork, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can bring a strong eye for detail to the production of precast concrete elements.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a hands on environment while also contributing to quality control, drawing interpretation and supporting the estimating process.
Working as part of our precast manufacturing team, you will be responsible for preparing, constructing and checking the formwork to ensure precast elements are produced safely, accurately and to specification.
You will also work closely with production and estimating teams to review drawings, identify construction considerations, check measurements and assist with information required for pricing and estimating work.
Key Responsibilities
Construct, modify and set out formwork for precast concrete elements.
Conduct quality checks on formwork, dimensions, cast-in items and finished precast elements.
Read and interpret IFC drawings, shop drawings and project specifications, including complex and specialist panel designs.
Identify buildability issues or drawing discrepancies and raise these with the Supervisor or engineering team.




Provide practical trade input to the estimating team on formwork requirements and production considerations.
Maintain a high standard of workmanship, accuracy and attention to detail.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
Support continuous improvement in quality, production efficiency and rework reduction.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
A robust commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
Significant experience as a Formwork Carpenter working with precast concrete.
Developed skills in the ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications, including complex specialist panels.
Quality control experience or a strong understanding of quality requirements in formwork or concrete production.
Skilled at measuring and set out.
Experience assisting with estimates, take-offs or material quantities would be highly regarded.
A practical, hands on approach with strong attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively with production, drafting and estimating teams.
