About the role
As Lead Sonographer, you'll combine hands-on scanning with genuine leadership.
Your day will include:
Performing a broad range of studies across general, MSK, vascular, obstetrics,



small parts and interventional ultrasoundManaging and mentoring a team of sonographers, from one-on-one training of current graduates to upskilling experienced colleaguesDeveloping and delivering sonographer training and CPD programsEducating referrers and presenting clinical information across a range of formatsChampioning quality, patient care and positive change within the teamCollaborating closely with Radiologists and clinic staff to keep workflow running smoothly
About you
Extensive ultrasound experience across musculoskeletal, vascular, general, obstetrics and interventional imagingPrevious leadership experience managing a team of sonographersA natural mentor with experience training beginner sonographers, developing training programs and delivering CPDConfident communicator, comfortable presenting and sharing knowledge through a variety of mediaSkilled at prioritising busy workloads, working both independently and as part of a teamStrong problem-solver with a genuine commitment to quality and patient care
Qualifications & requirements
Recognised qualification in medical imaging,



or equivalentCurrent ASAR accreditationWorking with Children Check and National Police ClearanceAppropriate Australian or New Zealand work rights
