We grow awareness and preference for Adelaide, support international students to feel welcomed and valued, and work with education providers, government and industry partners to strengthen South Australia's international education sector.
About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Market Coordinator, who is fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English to join our International Marketing team with a focus on Northeast Asia and onshore markets.
Reporting to the Director, International Marketing, you will help deliver activities that position Adelaide as a destination of choice for international students and strengthen relationships across priority markets.
This is an exciting opportunity for a marketing professional who enjoys working across cultures, building relationships and delivering campaigns, events and stakeholder activities.
The role works closely with education institutions, education agents, government stakeholders and industry partners in Australia and internationally.
This is a full time role offered on a three year contract.
Salary will be negotiated and aligned to skills and experience.
Significant domestic and international travel will be required.
Out-of-hours work, including weekends, will occasionally be required during events and activities.
You will be responsible for:
Delivering marketing and promotional activities across Northeast Asia and onshore markets, including campaign coordination, implementation and evaluation.
Monitoring market trends, gathering stakeholder insights and identifying opportunities to support marketing activities.




Building and maintaining relationships with education agents, education institutions, government stakeholders and industry partners.
Planning, coordinating and hosting agent familiarisation programs and inbound delegations.
Managing events, exhibitions, stakeholder visits and promotional activities both onshore and offshore.
Managing external service providers and project budgets to ensure successful delivery.
Maintaining stakeholder information within the CRM system and supporting data quality and reporting.
Providing market intelligence and stakeholder insights to support marketing campaigns and business planning.
Representing StudyAdelaide at events, meetings and industry functions in Australia and overseas.
About you
You are a proactive and highly organised marketing professional, fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English with a passion for international education and cross-cultural engagement.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy building meaningful relationships and are comfortable managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
You are confident communicating and presenting in both Mandarin Chinese and English, able to engage effectively with a diverse range of audiences and represent StudyAdelaide professionally both in Australia and internationally.




You bring strong attention to detail, a collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a high-performing team.
Your skills include:
Experience in destination marketing, international education or a related field.
Fluent written and verbal communication in both Mandarin Chinese and English, including translation experience.
Experience managing events, marketing activities and associated budgets.
Ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
Experience managing service providers, contracts and project deliverables.
Working across multiple priorities with excellent organisation, attention to detail and time management skills.
Presenting confidently in meetings, events and industry forums.
Working independently while contributing to a collaborative team workplace.
Understanding and use of Chinese social media channels.
