Mechanical Fitter

We are currently seeking a motivated, enthusiastic individual to join the team at our Wear-Mintech (WMT) Workshop in Mackay!
In your roleas a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out all tasks associated with the overhaul, repair, and maintenance of industrial pumps and associated equipment across both workshop and field service environments.
This is a full-time position that offers excellent career prospects working alongside a highly motivated team.
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will report to the Workshop Manager and play a vital role in our workshop operations.
Full training and ongoing support will be provided!

Key Responsibilities
Disassembling, inspecting, assessing, repairing and reassembling pumps and associated equipment.
Conducting pressure testing and performance testing of repaired equipment.
Interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and repair documentation.
Performing light fabrication, machining, and spray-painting activities as required.
Completing service reports, inspection records, and quality assurance documentation using company auditing and reporting software.
Providing onsite support, site works, shutdowns, breakdowns maintenance.
Working across SWB Group Facilities or customer sites as required.
Meeting project schedules, customer deadlines, and operational targets.
To be successful in the role the applicant will need

A commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship, quality, and safety.
Mechanical Trade Qualification (Certificate III Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent).
Previous experience in rotating equipment, machining, or industrial maintenance (preferred).
High Risk Work Licence (preferred).
Forklift Licence (preferred).
Overhead Crane and Dogging Ticket (CPCCLDG****) (preferred).
Standard 11 Certificate – Surface Coal Mining Induction (preferred).
Current Australian Driver's License (essential).
National Police Clearance (essential).
