About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and hands-onDuty Managerto join The Hangar at Maylands Golf Course on a full-time salaried basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging hospitality leader looking to take the next step in their career.
As Duty Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the venue, supporting the Food & Beverage leadership team to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
You'll lead service from the front, mentor and motivate staff, maintain venue standards, and ensure smooth bar and restaurant operations across busy service periods, functions and events.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and execute daily venue operations and service delivery.
Work collaboratively with management, kitchen, events and front-of-house teams.
Manage ordering, stock control and supplier relationships.
Lead shift operations, ensuring high service standards and smooth service flow.
Manage labour efficiently to meet operational targets.
Coach, mentor and develop staff through positive leadership.
Assist with cocktail menu development, implementation and staff training.
Oversee POS operations, cash handling and end-of-shift procedures.
Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
Motivate staff to achieve exceptional service and sales results.
Drive venue upselling initiatives and product knowledge programs.




Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills during busy service periods.
Contribute positively to venue culture with a proactive, can-do attitude.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:

Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
An effective communicator who can build strong relationships with staff and guests.
Calm under pressure and confident in a rapid-paced environment.
Experienced in venue supervision, bar operations or hospitality leadership.
Flexible to work evenings, weekends, functions and peak trading periods.
Essential
Previous supervisory experience in a bar, pub, restaurant or hospitality venue.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Cocktail knowledge and bar service experience.
Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA).
Current WA Approved Manager card.
Ability to multitask and perform during high-volume service periods.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
