About the Role
We are seeking aSuperintendent Procurement & Contractsto lead procurement and contracts, and the sourcing of goods and services for our operations.
Initially reporting to the Head of Commercial, this role is responsible for optimising inventory and critical spares, ensuring continuity of supply, and delivering strong commercial outcomes across goods and services.
Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering, the role plays a key part in driving sourcing and contract activities, improving procurement processes, enhancing supplier performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and AIP requirements.
This role will initially be based in Adelaide before transitioning to Ardrossan, South Australia,and offers an exciting opportunity to support site start-up and ongoing operations of a major greenfield project.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Providing coaching, mentoring, and direction across procurement and site materials management.
Developing and implementing inventory procurement strategies, forecasting, and optimisation frameworks to improve stock efficiency and reduce risk.
Leading procurement readiness activities ensuring all related commercial requirements (including commercial systems and processes) are in place prior to production, including procurement of critical spares.
Leading strategic sourcing and tender processes, including market engagement, evaluation, negotiation, and contract award.
Managing the full contract lifecycle, including execution,



performance monitoring, variations, and claims management.
Assisting and mentoring contract owners with the management of their contracts, including contract renewals, administration of claims and variations, and effective monitoring of contract performance.
Driving commercial outcomes by balancing cost, quality, service, delivery, and supplier performance.
Building and maintaining strong supplier and stakeholder relationships, and partnering closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering.
Ensuring compliance with contract governance, regulatory requirements (including AIP/local content), and internal policies, while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
5+ years' experience across procurement and contracts within mining, heavy industry, or similar operational environments.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands and consistently meet deadlines.
Solid leadership capability supporting a small team, with highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.
The ability to build strong, trusted relationships with site operations, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Pronto, Oracle, or similar.
Experience supporting major project delivery environments will be highly regarded.
Relevant qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business, Engineering, or a related field is highly desirable.
