Job description
The Queensland Council of Unions is seeking an experienced Workplace Rights Advisor to join the Queensland Migrant WorkWise team.
This is an exciting opportunity to help improve workplace outcomes for migrant workers by providing specialist workplace rights advice, supporting Outreach Officers, working with affiliated unions and stakeholders, and contributing to policy, education and advocacy initiatives.
We are looking for someone with:
Experience in workplace relations, industrial relations or employment law;
Sound knowledge of Australian workplace laws, including the Fair Work Act, awards and work health and safety;
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills; and
A commitment to improving workplace outcomes for migrant workers and the values of the trade union movement.
Full time fixed-term position until 29 January **** (with the possibility of extension)
Salary:From $133,****** per annum plus 15% employer superannuation
