Do you like diagnosing issues, digging into hardware and software, and seeing a problem through to resolution?
We're supporting an innovative technology company operating in the defence, government and telecom sectors, currently going through a period of solid growth.
They're looking for a technically sound Customer Support Engineer to join their Cambridge team, providing first-line support across a product line that spans specialist hardware and software.
What you'll be doing:
Providing first-line technical support to customers on an industry leading hardware/software product line, covering signal and sensor technology, analysis tooling, and network diagnostics.
Explaining complex technical issues and solutions clearly to customers.
Diagnosing and resolving issues first-hand, escalating where necessary.
Reviewing and developing technical documentation.
Working closely with engineering teams to feed back on recurring or complex issues.
What we're looking for:
Solid grounding in RF fundamentals.
A curiousmindset with a passion for technology (this could be shown through employment or hobbies)
Basic exposure to Linux and networking.
Comfortable working hands-on with both hardware and software.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical detail for non-technical audiences.
Nice to have:
Broader RF specialisms (e.g. signal-location techniques, wider analysis experience).
Prior support or helpdesk experience.
