About Us:
Quarry & Mining Manufacture (QMM), a subsidiary of Tasmea Limited, delivers expert design, manufacture, fabrication, and maintenance services to sectors including construction materials (concrete, quarrying, cement, asphalt), mining, minerals, infrastructure, recycling, and metal refining.
The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking skilled Boilermakers and Mechanical Fitters to join our growing team on a full-time and/or casual basis.
The role is primarily workshop-based with some site work as required, offering stability, variety, and robust earning potential.
Standard hours are 10-hour days Monday to Thursday and 8 hours on Friday, with additional overtime available, including occasional Saturdays
About the Role:
You'll be fabricating and assembling metal components, such as frames, chutes, pipework, and structural steel, while maintaining a strong focus on quality, precision, and safety.
The role suits individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy being part of a collaborative, safety-first culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Cut, shape, and weld metal components using hand and power tools
• MIG and Stick welding to a high standard
• Fabricate and assemble steel structures in workshop or site environments




• Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications
• Maintain a clean and productive workspace
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a positive safety culture
• Work closely with supervisors to meet project deadlines and production targets
What You'll Need:
• Fabrication or Mechanical Fitter trade qualification (Cert III or equivalent)
• Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately
• Confined Space & Working at Heights (within 2 years) or willingness to obtain
• EWP, Scissor Lift, and Boom Lift tickets (desirable)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices
