Martin Metal Works is a growing structural and mechanical steel fabrication company servicing the quarry, concrete, industrial and commercial construction industries throughout Victoria.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experiencedDraftsperson / Steel Detailerto join our team.
This is a full-time position based at our Longwarry workshop, working closely with our Project Managers, Engineers and Workshop Team to deliver high-quality fabrication drawings and project documentation.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing detailed fabrication and shop drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor (Inventor experience highly regarded).
Producing General Arrangement (GA) drawings for client approval.
Preparing material take-offs and bills of materials.
Liaising with project managers, engineers, clients and workshop personnel.
Conducting site measures where required.
Assisting with project planning and resolving fabrication queries.
Maintaining drawing revisions and project documentation.
Ensuring drawings comply with Australian Standards and project specifications.
About You
The successful applicant will have:
Experience detailing structural and mechanical steelwork.
High proficiency in AutoCAD (essential).
Experience using Autodesk Inventor (preferred).
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.




Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Current driver's licence.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team setting.
