The base apprentice wage rate for this position is $****** gross per week, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to *****% superannuation.
This is a Temporary Full time position for 4 years.
The position is based at our Principal Depot in Charlton.
About Property Services
Within the Environment and Community Services Group, the Property Services Branch is responsible for a vast array of diverse assets from iconic Heritage Listed assets such as the Empire Theatre and Toowoomba City Hall, through to libraries, aquatic centres, depots, administration and other key community buildings, work in parks on parks infrastructure, as well as contributing to the maintenance of key road infrastructure such as traffic lights and street lighting.
Spanning almost 13,000km2, the team works diligently to guarantee essential community services are maintained in every corner of the region.
About the position
As our current Apprentice Painter, you will assist in performing maintenance tasks on all Council-owned buildings, assets and facilities to a high standard, which ensures customer satisfaction, quality, and cost effectiveness.
The successful completion of this apprenticeship will lead to a trade qualification as a Painter.
In this position, you will work under direct supervision.

What you'll bring
Year 10education.
WHS Competency (White Card) for CPCWHS**** Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, or equivalent, or a willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
Interest in, and the ability to, complete a Cert III in Painting and Decorating.
The ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
The skills needed to complete daily work records.
Communication and teamwork skills.
