We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance department as an Assistant Accountant at our Head Office.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation, examination, and analysis of financial records, statements, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Process financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, while maintaining proper documentation and record keeping.
Reconcile and verify the accuracy of various financial data, identifying discrepancies and addressing them in a timely manner.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations.
Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide support in budgeting and forecasting processes.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
Contribute to the implementation and improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.
Assist in the maintenance of fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
Stay updated on accounting regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling financial information.
Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
