Assistant Storeperson – Wangara Workshop

We are currently seeking a motivated and reliableAssistant Storepersonto join our team at ourWangara Workshopon a full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within the mining and drilling industry while gaining hands-on experience in warehousing, inventory control, and logistics.
About the Role
Reporting to the Workshop and Procurement Team, you will assist with the day-to-day operation of the stores department, ensuring parts, consumables, and equipment are accurately received, stored, and dispatched to support field operations.
Key Responsibilities
Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing freight.
Receiving, checking, and accurately receipting goods.
Picking, packing, and dispatching parts and consumables to drilling operations.
Maintaining inventory records and stock control systems.
Assisting with regular stocktakes and inventory audits.
Ensuring workshop and stores areas are kept clean, organised, and safe.
Assisting with local pickups and deliveries when required.
Liaising with workshop personnel, suppliers, and operational teams to meet daily requirements.
Following company quality, safety,
and inventory procedures.
Assisting with the management of drilling consumables, spare parts, and workshop supplies.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, logistics, or workshop environment.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Good computer literacy and ability to learn inventory management systems.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
Current C-Class Driver's Licence.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Highly Regarded
Forklift Licence (LF).
Previous experience in the mining, drilling, transport, or heavy equipment industries.
Basic understanding of inventory control and freight processes.
First Aid Certificate.
HR Driver's Licence.
