About the Role
Location:Kanmantoo SA
Employment Type:Full Time
Hours:Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 6:00pm (some weekend work may be required)
Southern Contracting Group is seeking experienced and motivatedQuarry Production Operators.
We have various plant operator positions available to fill such as Excavators, Loaders + Dump trucks.
Based at a Bluestone Quarry in Kanmantoo, working in a crew of 5-8, you will be apart of the operation of mobile hard rock crushing and screening activities.
The role requires experienced operators with knowledge and history working in rock quarries.
We are seeking proactive and organised individuals who can effectively work in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Excavator Operators:Feeding Material into Mobile Crushing & Screening Plant




Loader Operators:Stockpile management & loading dump trucks + assistance with operation of rock crushing plant
Dump Truck Operators:Hauling processed material from pit to stockpile + stockpile management
Work in a team environment to achieve daily production targets safely and efficiently
Maintain daily records and paperwork
Demonstrate strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company and site requirements.
Follow production schedules and operational directions
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Previous experience in roles within quarrying, crushing, mining or heavy industry.
Previous experience operating relevant plant & equipment
Strong understanding of hard rock quarry operations & production
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
Solid communication skills.
A proactive approach to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Current driver's licence.
