Why Little Aussie Communities?
Little Aussie Communities is a 21 year old trusted friend of local communities.
We help residents in Perth connect with their community , whether it is helping them find a local community group or a trusted local business that they would be happy to refer to their friends and family.
Residents across Perth can enjoy flicking through one of our 63 local magazines, reading our weekly email newsletter called That Local Feeling or browsing our community website to find some extra helpful info.
The opportunity
Little Aussie Communities is experiencing high growth as local businesses discover the benefits of working with their local community and closer to home.
As our Local Business Success Manager, you will be the person that helps local trusted trades and service businesses grow their business as they enjoy the advantages of less travel on Perth's roads whilst working with customers that appreciate local, friendly businesses.
Many of our business customers have been with us for over 10 years, and you will create a genuine partnership with them as a trusted liaison.
What you will be doing?
You will help onboard businesses new to Little Aussie Communities as they begin their journey in local community advertising, then build lasting relationships by providing ongoing support and guidance to help them maximise their advertising results and grow their business.
This will include:
Launching their content across our magazines, websites and email newsletters.
Managing the changes to their content as we fine tune what they offer to their local community.
Providing feedback and advice on working and managing their resident calls and enquiries.
Onboarding to other Little Aussie features that help them stand out more in their local community.
Liaise with them and residents for customer feedback.
Provide advice and assistance in fine tuning their advertising as their business grows and changes over the years.
To succeed in this role,
Excellent written communication skills
A love of connecting with local businesses and understanding how they operate
Confidence using CRM systems
Proficiency managing customer information accurately
Strong computer and data entry skills, with the ability to efficiently use a range of business applications as part of day-to-day operations.
We manage strict deadlines so you will need the ability to self manage under pressure as our team successfully publish the magazines and email newsletters.
You will be making regular phone calls and teams meetings to your Accounts as well as responding to their messages promptly.
Business owners are always busy so you will need to be proactive and efficient to successfully work with them.
You'll also need to be a team player, as you will collaborate with our General Manager, Sales, Production and Development Operations teams to deliver an outstanding advertiser experience.
Who we are looking for?
You do not necessarily need to have been in a previous Customer Account Manager role or in the advertising industry to succeed as we will teach you everything about content and local advertising.
A connection to small businesses is desirable and a customer facing admin or sales role helpful.
You may have previously worked as an Office Manager, or in owning and running your own small business, or have worked in a local trades and services business.
What we need from you?
3+ years experience working with customers
A high level communicator with an excellent command of written communication and extraordinary attention to detail.
The ability to build and maintain rapport and trust with small business owners.
A curiosity and ability to quickly learn software, AI tools and technology.
To apply
Write a cover letter about a customer that you owned from beginning to end and the challenges that you encountered with them and overcame.
