The Role: Trainer/Assessor – General and Civil Construction
We are urgently seeking an engaging and passionateTrainer/Assessorto join our team in Adelaide.
If you're an experienced tradesperson ready to transition from tools to training or a secondary school teacher with general or civil construction expertise, these full-time roles are perfect for you.
Primarily working in all SA prison facilities, you'll be responsible for training and assessing Indigenous and Non-Indigenous clients throughout South Australia, focusing on both theory and practical components in live work projects.
What We're Looking For:
Must be able to deliver training programs involving the project management and supervision of participants working on small paving and concreting works, delivered as part of live works training.
Experience working with trainees and apprentices in various settings.
Experience undertaking delivery of Verification of Competencies (VOCs) on various items of civil plant and machinery.
Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective training.
Strong communication skills,
both written and verbal, with a great sense of humour.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Integrity and dedication to excellence in training.
National Police Clearance (current or willing to obtain).
Working with Children Check (current or willing to obtain).
Current driver's license.
Applicants with general construction and concreting experience would also be highly regarded.
Experience working within correctional facilities would also be highly regarded.
Essential Qualifications:
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE***** or TAE*****) or working towards it.
Certificate III level in General or Civil Construction (or relevant experience).
