Lead the finance function of a growing, multi-entity engineering services group
Future Engineering Group (a subsidiary group of Tasmea Limited (ASX:TEA) is seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function across its portfolio of operating businesses, including Future Engineering & Communications, Future Power, Rollwell Engineering and Westplant.
This is a key leadership role working closely with the Subsidiary Executive Teams and Tasmea Corporate Services Teams to drive financial performance, strengthen reporting and support continued growth.
About the Role
As CFO, you will take ownership of the financial integrity of the group, including reporting, budgeting, cashflow and financial controls.
You will operate as a hands-on finance leader, partnering closely with operational teams while leading the finance function to deliver accurate, timely and insightful financial information.
Key Responsibilities
Lead financial reporting across the group, including monthly management accounts and Board reporting
Own the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes
Drive cashflow management and optimise working capital performance
Oversee project financial performance, including WIP, project margins and cost control
Provide commercial support on tenders, pricing and business decisions
Establish and maintain strong financial controls and governance frameworks




Lead audit processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Partner with operational leaders to improve profitability and performance
Lead and develop a small finance team, including a Finance Business Partner and Finance Managers
About You
You are a commercially minded, hands-on finance leader with experience in project-based environments such as engineering, construction or mining services.
You bring:
CA or CPA qualification, as well as degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with +5 years leadership experience.
Strong technical accounting capability, including WIP and revenue recognition
Experience leading reporting, budgeting and cashflow in a multi-entity environment
Experience with ERP implementations and process improvement, is desirable
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to influence operational teams
A willingness to roll up your sleeves and work closely with the business
