Job ID: *****
Closes in29days (31/07/2026)
Ruscon Construction, Kenwick WA
Ruscon Construction builds new homes, renovations, extensions and commercial fit-outs across the Perth metro area.
We work out of our Kenwick office and run a small, tight team where an apprentice learns the trade properly, side by side with qualified carpenters.
We have an opening for a Carpentry Apprentice.
The role is full-time (38 hours per week).
We work a four-day week, Tuesday to Friday.
You'll work next to qualified carpenters from day one.
Over your apprenticeship, you'll get hands-on experience across:
Framing and structural carpentry
Fixing carpentry: doors, windows, skirting and architraves
Cladding, decking and external works
Renovations and extensions.
Commercial fit-outs
Site setup and general construction
Because we run varied projects, you'll work alongside other trades and finish your apprenticeship as a well-rounded tradesperson, not a one-job specialist.
We occasionally take on work in regional WA.
When we do, we cover your accommodation and meals.
You'll need to be flexible enough to travel for those jobs.
What we're looking for:
A genuine interest in building and a reason you want to be a carpenter

Reliable, punctual, and ready to learn on site
Physically fit and happy working outdoors in all conditions
Works safely and follows instructions
A current White Card, or willing to get one before you start
A driver's licence or reliable transport to sites around Perth (preferred)
A completed pre-apprenticeship (Certificate II in Building and Construction) is highly regarded but not essential.
Attitude and commitment matter more to us than a certificate.
Some prior site experience helps, but won't rule you out if you're determined.
What we offer:
A four-day working week, Tuesday to Friday
A paid day off on your birthday when it falls on a working day
Quarterly team social activities
Proper mentoring from qualified carpenters
A wide range of projects, not the same job every week
Exposure to multiple trades
Full support through your apprenticeship
A secure, respectful worksite
A path to full-time work and a trade for the right person
We run a no mobile phone policy during work hours, except where a phone is needed for the job or in an emergency.
How to apply:
Send us your resume by clicking on 'Apply Now'
To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
