Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Grade Foreman to lead grading operations on residential and commercial construction sites.
This hands-on role involves operating heavy equipment, interpreting site plans, managing crews, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to spec.
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of foreman experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to safety.
Must be able to perform physical labor, work long hours in varying weather, and travel to job sites across the region.
A valid NC driver's license, OSHA ***** certification (or ability to obtain), and passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check are required.

Essential Job Functions
Must be committed to providing and promoting a protected work environment;Communicate with Superintendent, Municipality inspectors, and Project Managers as to the daily job scope of work;Ability to follow directions;Perform tasks with excavators, dozers, skid steers and other heavy equipment associated with grading operations.Understands and interprets drawings, specifications and construction stakes as required to build project to the engineered design;Manage crew and employees to safely, efficiently, accurately complete projects while promoting growth and the development of assigned employees; andAbility to perform the essential job functions and perform other duties as assigned.
We do not have operating only positions; all employees are expected to do whatever work is required as a team to get the job done.




Position Requirements
The job requires the following motions: standing, walking, stretching, bending, lifting, pulling, twisting, throwing, reaching and squatting;Operate machines with or without GPS;Requires regular lifting of or more than 25 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds;Walking and standing may require a full day of 9 to 12 hours;Will be exposed to sometimes extreme hot and cold temperatures; andJobs requires riding to and from projects in various locations within our geographic region;Adhere to safety rules and possess or be able to obtain OSHA 10 and OSHA 30Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public always;Report to work at the designated start time;Be able to work long hours when required.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 5 years of proven experience in the field as a successful grade foreman;Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check;Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document;Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook;Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required;Be at least age 21 years of age;Have a valid NC Drivers License with a good driving record;Pass a pre-employ drug screen.Agree to a pre-employment background check.
