Club Bombala is a cornerstone of the local community, with over 1,100 members, 20 EGMs, two bowling greens, and proudly operating its own in‐house catering, Woolley's Bistro.
The Club is now entering an exciting phase of growth and opportunity.Located on the scenic Monaro Tablelands, Bombala offers an exceptional lifestyle – just 1.5 hours from the snowfields and one hour from the Sapphire Coast.
The Board of Directors is seeking a hands‐on, community‐minded General Manager to lead the day‐to‐day operations of the Club and help drive its continued success, while preserving its robust traditions and local connections.
About the Role
Reporting to the Board, the General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the Club, including:
End‐to‐end management of licensed club operations
Financial management, compliance and reporting
Leadership, training and development of staff
Delivering outstanding member and guest experiences
Supporting community engagement and promotional opportunities
Working closely with the Board to help the Club reach its full potential

You will bring a strong operational background in clubs or hospitality, along with a practical, people‐focused leadership style.
You will ideally have:
Demonstrated experience across all areas of licensed club operations
Strong financial, reporting and computer skills
A solid understanding of the hospitality industry
Highly developed customer service capabilities
Proven ability to lead, supervise and motivate teams
Confident communication and conflict‐resolution skills
Experience in promotions and/or marketing (desirable)
Current RSA, RCG, Licensee and Advanced Licensee certification
This role would also suit an ambitious Duty Manager ready to step up into a Secretary/General Manager position, with the support of an engaged Board and a stable Club environment.What's on Offer
