The Role
We're currently looking for an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our team in South Guildford.
Reporting to the Purchasing Supervisor, you'll play a key role in supporting the end-to-end purchasing function, ensuring goods and services are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with Swick processes.
This is a hands-on role with strong stakeholder engagement across Operations, Maintenance and Engineering teams.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting demand across the business and ensuring purchasing timelines are met
Procuring goods and services to support operational requirements
Sourcing new products, services and suppliers where required
Coordinating the new vendor onboarding process
Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
Providing regular updates on outstanding orders and supply issues
Monitoring supplier performance, including backorder reporting
Following up on purchase orders and identifying alternative supply options where needed
Reviewing purchasing data using Navision, QlikSense and supplier reporting
Managing supply issues and returns (reverse logistics)
Coordinating freight and logistics as required
Processing purchasing documentation accurately and in a timely manner
Participating in Perth-based stocktakes
About You
You'll be a proactive and organised purchasing professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and building strong working relationships.
We're looking for someone with:
Around 3+ years' experience in a similar purchasing/procurement role
Experience in technical sourcing, procurement and expediting
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
Proven ability to manage supplier relationships
Solid communication skills and attention to detail
Intermediate Excel and Microsoft Office capability




Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
Desirable:Experience with Navision and/or QlikSense
Exposure to the mining or production industry
